Newton resident Sarah Ganung was named to the dean’s list for the 2012 fall semester at Messiah College. Ganung is a junior majoring in family and consumer sciences education. Dean’s list is earned by receiving a 3.6 GPA or higher on a 4.0 scale.

Chelsea Pavelchak of Andover, a senior Marketing major; Austin Koehler of Andover, a freshman Computer Engineering major; Amanda Norman of Andover, a freshman Early Childhood/Special Education major; Brianna Gowe of Byram Township, a sophomore Early Childhood Education major; Joanna Stiner of Stanhope, a freshman Undeclared major; Jennifer Trowbridge of Stanhope, a freshman Hospitality Management major; Brian Kreuder of Stanhope, a sophomore Early Childhood/Special Education major have been named to the Dean’s List for the Fall 2012 semester at York College of Pennsylvania. To be eligible for this honor, a student must be registered for at least 12 academic credit hours and earn a semester GPA of 3.50 or higher.

Kristen Mcloughlin, a resident of Newton, has been named to the Fall 2012 Champlain College President’s List for academic achievements. Students named to the President’s List have recieved a 4.0 grade point average during the fall semester. Mcloughlin is majoring in computer forensics and digital investigations.

Erin M. Opitz of Newton, a Marine Science major, was among approximately 1,800 students from Coastal Carolina University who made the Fall 2012 Dean’s List. To qualify for the Dean’s List, freshmen must earn a 3.25 grade point average, and upperclassmen must earn a 3.5 grade point average.

Heidi Van Fleet of Stanhope recently passed the Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) exam at Dover Business college. Van Fleet is a graduate of the Medical Insurance and Coding Administration (MICA) program at the Dover location.

Jessica A. Meyer, a Elementary Education major from Newton has made the President’s List at Coastal Carolina University for the Fall 2012 term.

Ellen Mahon of Stanhope qualifies for the dean’s list for the fall of 21012 at Misericordia University in Texas with a 3.55 grade point average or higher.

Daniel Murnane, a 2012 graduate of Lenape Valley Reg HS has been named to the Dean’s List at the University of Connecticut for the fall semester 2012. Murnane is a member of the XC and Track & Field teams at UConn. He is curently enrolled in the Pre-Sports Science Program.

Christopher T. Jaronsky from Andover was among the Virginia Military Institute cadets who marched in this year’s presidential Inaugural Parade on Jan. 21. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Jaronsky.

The following students have been named to the Dean’s List at the University of New Hampshire for the fall semester of the 2012-2013 academic year.

Ashley May of Andover earned High Honors on the Dean’s List at the University of New Hampshire. Students with a 3.65 to 3.84 average are awarded high honors. Emily Faller of Newton earned Honors on the Dean’s List at the University of New Hampshire. Students whose grade point average is 3.5 through 3.64 are awarded honors.
