Sussex County Community College art professor Kulvinder Kaur Dhew was recently inducted into the Fauchere Hotel Hall of Fame in recognition of her professional achievements.

Kaur Dhew taught in universities in New Zealand and Malaysia before joining the Fine Arts faculty at SCCC 10 years ago. She is a full-time exhibiting artist and has shown her work on both national and international stages with her most recent solo exhibition presented at The Hunterdon Museum in Clinton, N.J.

The Fauchere is a historic hotel that has, since the 1800’s, attracted many well-known cultural and political personalities. While Kulvinder’s portrait will be in residence next to author Kurt Vonnegut’s, other members of the Hall of Fame include Presidents Kennedy, Clinton, and Grant, television chef Gordon Ramsay, author Tom Wolfe, and Civil War General William Tecumseh Sherman. In his introduction of Kulvinder, hotel proprietor Sean Strub remarked that among Kulvinder’s most important achievements was her contribution to young artists in the region through the example of her professional practice as a painter.

The Fauchere Hotel Hall of Fame is located in the hotel on Broad Street in Milford, Pa.
