— Newton Police Det. Joseph D'Annibale stopped in at The Auxilium School last week to visit the students of a preschool class.

D'Annibale spoke with the children about the correct way to use the 911 system, how police officers are friends and then he answered the children's many questions.

The detective closed out the visit by letting the children sit in his patrol car and sound the sirens, run the lights and use the car's speaker.

There was a smile on each child's face, and a general sense of security, as D'Annibale pulled away from the school, as stated in a school news release.
