Arrest made for Home Depot shoplifting

Police say suspect stole wrench, set

— A Wantage man was arrested Thursday after police said he stole $140 worth of items from the Home Depot in Newton.

Robert Norman, 31, of Ramsey Road, is charged with disorderly persons for attempting to shoplift a wrench and wrench set, according to police.

He was released from custody pending an appearance in Newton Municipal Court.

Around 9 p.m., July 10, Newton police received a report regarding the shoplifting. Police were told that Norman was running down North Park Drive toward Water Street.

Police located Norman on North Park Drive and placed him under arrest.
