Woman crashes outside station, police say
Frawley, 53, of Stillwater, issued summonses for incident
NEWTON — A Stillwater woman was arrested last week after surveillance cameras caught her crashing her vehicle outside the Newton municipal building.
Ann Frawley, 53, was issued summonses for driving while intoxicated and careless driving.
Around 3 p.m, Aug. 13, Newton police dispatchers heard loud noises coming from the front of the building. They then observed a vehicle driving off the front sidewalk before parking, according to police.
Frawley exited the vehicle, looked at the damage on the car and walked into the building, according to police. The vehicle was driven from Trinity Street onto the front walkway and along the sidewalk in front of the police department, police said.
When police responded to the scene, they saw damage to several pillars in front of the municipal building, which was consistent with the damage to Frawley’s vehicle.
Officers said Frawley was driving while intoxicated.
No one was injured during the incident.
