Mortello named Teacher of the Year

— Yvonne Mortello was named the Sussex County Teacher of the Year.

Mortello was recognized by the State Department of Education over the summer with the prestigious title.

Mortello will continue her reign of Sussex County Teacher of Year at Hudson Maxim School as she takes on the new role of Academic Skills teacher.

This is the third Sussex County Teacher of the Year from the Hopatcong district within the past ten years.

Other recipients were Christina Gordon and Danielle Kovach, who was additionally named New Jersey State Teacher of the Year.
