Feb. 24
Thomas W. Sisco, 47, of Ogdensburg, pleaded guilty Feb. 24 to the third-degree crime of possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Sentencing is scheduled for April 11.
Sisco admitted to possessing a number of bags of heroin on Sept. 24, 2013 in Newton that he received in exchange for driving another individual to Paterson to obtain a larger amount of heroin. The matter was investigated by the Sussex County Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force.
Ceasar Delapaz, 33, of Franklin, pleaded guilty Feb. 24 to two counts of third-degree distribution of a controlled dangerous substance.
Delapaz admitted that on December 11 and 12, 2013, he sold 20 bags on each occasion to an individual cooperating with the Sussex County Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force, according to the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office.
The matter was investigated by the Franklin Police Department. Sentencing is scheduled for March 28.
Feb. 25
Sean T. Kaiser, 35, of Lincoln Park, was indicted Feb. 25 with assault by auto, a fourth degree crime.
The Grand Jury alleges that on October 13, 2013, in Sparta, Kaiser drove a 2007 Subaru in a reckless manner while intoxicated, drove off the road and injured a passenger in the vehicle, according to the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office.
Arraignment before the Superior Court in Newton will be held within the next six weeks.
Max A. Bahamonde, 27, of Garfield, was indicted Feb. 25 with two counts of assault by auto, both crimes of the fourth degree.
The Grand Jury alleges that on May 27, 2013, in Sparta, Bahamonde drove a 2008 Kia Optima in a reckless manner while intoxicated. He drove through a stop sign and collided with another vehicle, injuring both occupants of that vehicle, according to the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office.
Arraignment before the Superior Court in Newton will be held within the next six weeks.
Feb. 28
John Rowe, 50, of Andover, was sentenced Feb. 28 to five years in New Jersey State Prison. Rowe was also given 18 months of parole ineligibility, credit for time served and must pay restitution of
$80,581.37.
Rowe pleaded guilty Jan. 8, to misappropriation of entrusted property, theft by illegal retention, and theft by unlawful taking, all second degree offenses; and the charge of certain persons not to possess weapons, a fourth degree crime.
