Sparta — Newton Medical Center Foundation is hosting an all-day shopping fundraiser on Wednesday, May 31 at Talbots’ 25 Sparta Avenue location from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Talbots will donate 10% of pre-tax sales to the Foundation when customers mention the Newton Medical Center Foundation at check out. Dana Nolan, the Foundation’s Ambassadors’ Club co-chair, will host the event and will be there in person with other volunteers to answer questions and share information about the Foundation.

“We are honored to be partnering with Talbots on May 31 and we hope everyone will join us and come out and shop for a great cause,” said Megan Sandow, Chief Development Officer, Newton Medical Center Foundation. “This is a great time of year to shop for a new summer outfit or for special occasions like graduations and weddings. Please remember to mention the Newton Medical Center Foundation when you check out.”

Proceeds from the event will go towards Newton Medical Center Foundation’s togethER Campaign. The Campaign will support two enhancement projects to provide an extraordinary experience and the highest quality care in the Emergency Department.

The Core Project will reconfigure the central ER workstation to provide a more efficient work space. The Out Front Project which will create a dedicated rapid triage and treatment area that will streamline workflow and processes and drive down the length of stay for patients in the ER.
