Dentistry Expert Dr. Jonice Thompson Withanachchi: Knocking Out Teeth
What happens if I knock out my tooth?
If the tooth is a permanent or adult tooth, if possible, try to place it back in the socket without touching the root. If the tooth falls on the ground, do not attempt to wash the tooth because this will wash away all of the fibers that are still attached to the tooth, and there will be less chances of re-attaching the tooth. Shake the dirt gently off of the tooth, and either place it in warm milk or in between your cheeks. Then, go to your dentist right away!
