    — Senator Steve Oroho, Assemblywoman Alison Littell McHose and Assemblyman Parker Space, R-24, released the following statement after meeting with Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno last week following the Lt. Governor’s visit to Swartswood State Park to highlight Sussex County’s varied tourism industries.

"We are blessed to live in a region with many natural and modern treasures and thank Lt. Governor Guadagno for showcasing the region to the rest of the state. Northwest New Jersey offers some of the finest attractions in the region with its sweeping natural landscapes, pristine public spaces, world class resorts, wineries and much more. The tourism industry in Sussex County and the surrounding area is an important economic engine for not only the local communities but the state as a whole. We are pleased to help protect and promote these treasures and look forward to continuing to work with the Lt. Governor to draw more visitors to the area."

Guadagno visited the park as part of her series of ‘Tourism Tuesday” visits across the state.

Swartswood State Park was the first state park established in New Jersey.
