— A sea of tables decorated in blue and white linens, glitter and balloons accompanied by a large smartboard displaying the Trep$ logo was the backdrop in the gymnasium at Valley Road School on Tuesday, March 27 in Stanhope. Valley Road School held its first ever Trep$ Marketplace. The energy and vibe was infectious, as the gym buzzed with excitement. Students of the seventh grade class, intensely sold their diverse array of engaging products from the time of the ribbon cutting ceremony at 9:00 a.m. to fellow students until the extended night hours of 6-7 p.m were they sold to community members as well. Many of the seventh grade students sold out of their products during the day, having to go home and frantically prepare more during their afternoon break, yet selling out again in the evening and having to take orders for the creative wears and edibles that they had made. Items varied from paracord bracelets, hand poured candles, bath bombs and custom glass whiteboard to Grandma's recipe of rice pudding, empanadas and homemade ice cream sandwiches. There was truly something for everyone and the Valley Road School was proud and thrilled to bring this new event and tradition to the community.
