Newton — This Saturday, June 23 at noon, the Sussex County Chapter of the National Organization for Women and Action Together Sussex County will be hosting an LGBTQ+ Pride Rally on the Newton Green. LGBTQ+ voices in Sussex County will be highlighted by a variety of speakers.

Attendees will enjoy music, face painting, and presentations from various organizations throughout the county that provide LGBTQ+ advocacy and support. This family-friendly event encourages all LGBTQ+ residents and their allies, as well as anyone who wishes to support the community to attend. Speakers will include Hampton Township Committee candidate and Pride in Action Facilitator Kailey Denzer-Weiler, local human rights advocates Rebekah and Jamie Bruesehoff, and more! Pride is an important part of LGBTQ+ history, as it commemorates the start of the gay liberation movement. Join Grand Marshall Zoe Heath and Sussex County NOW as we celebrate Pride.
