Andover Township - Under a full moon on a cold night, dozens of Andover Township residents attended the townhip's Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony in Hillside Park on Friday, Nov. 23, 2018. Brownies from Troop 6629 led attendees in singing Christmas caroles. When the girls reached the last refrain, Township Committee member Ellsworth “Ben” Bensley lit the tree's lights. Then everyone was invited into the warmth of the Barn for a showing of the classic Christmas tale It’s a Wonderful Life, complete with popcorn and hot drinks. Andover Township Recreation Director Gigi Regolizio was excited about the movie night element of the evening. “That’s something we’ve added new this year,” she said. "I’m so glad people came out and braved the cold.”
