Sparta - The Junior Woman’s Club of Sparta received a $1,000 donation from the Wiebel Family Foundation for the annual holiday Wish Tree at the Sparta Library. The donation will benefit the many children currently supported by the Department of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P) in Sussex County. DCP&P houses Benny’s Bodega, an in-house market, developed and managed by Ben Davey, DCP&P Resource Development Specialist. Benny’s Bodega provides clothing, food, and gifts to children in foster care and families in need and collects donations throughout the year. The Wiebel Family Foundation was established by Robert Wiebel and the rest of the Wiebel Family in remembrance of Laura Wiebel who passed from Cervical Cancer in 2016. The Junior Woman’s Club of Sparta (JWCS) Wish Tree can be found at the Sparta Library and donations of toys and gifts will be accepted through Dec. 14. JWCS is a non-profit, civic organization for women committed to promoting volunteerism, improving our community, and fostering new friendships. For more information, visit www.jwcsparta.org.
