SCCC Automotive Professor named Platinum Technician

Sussex County Community College automotive faculty member, Paul Raffetto, was recently awarded Hyundai Motor Company’s highest technician certification.
The adjunct professor of automotive services joins a small percentage of automotive technicians who have achieved the honor of being named a Platinum Level Technician.
In order to become a platinum technician, Raffetto had to complete a skills-based challenge under the supervision of Hyundai Technician Education & Career Support.
“Reaching this level of expertise has been a lot of hard work, but it was worth it,” said Raffetto. “I take my job very seriously and want to make sure my students are learning everything they can.”
Raffetto’s certification last month is just another reason SCCC’s automotive program has been named one of the best in the state.
The Automotive Services Technology degree program provides unparalleled hands-on training to prepare students in the maintenance and repair of vehicles. A certificate program is offered as well.
