Chamber of Commerce to hold 2019 Business Expo at Crystal Springs

The Sussex County Chamber of Commerce will host the 27th Annual Business Expo at Crystal Springs Country Club on Tuesday, June 18. Hours for members of the business community are from 2-4 p.m.. Doors open to the general public from 4-7 p.m., with Newton Medical Center-Atlantic Health System as the Main Event Sponsor.
It’s a new time of year for the Chamber Expo, which in past years has been held in October or November. Tammie Horsfield, President of the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce, said of the date change, "one of the reasons for the change is warmer weather and light later into the evening. It’s more comfortable for guests to enjoy the event without having to come in the dark and wear heavy coats."
For businesses and organizations exhibiting the Expo, it's all about making connections and showcasing their products and services to each other and area residents. “One of the most beneficial aspects of EXPO for area businesses, besides the chance to promote their company to the public, is the opportunity to network with other local businesses,” said Horsfield.
Members of the business community can attend Expo during the “Business Only” hours of 2-4 p.m. and will need a business card to gain admission. “We added the special hours for business professionals last year allowing them to come to the event during their work day,” noted Horsfield. “” If you’ve got a business card, you’re in.”
Doors open to the public from 4-7 pm. Admission, parking and hors d'oeuvres are free. Cash bars will also be available for those interested in enjoying a glass of wine or a cocktail as they browse the exhibits and chat with business owners and representatives.
Industries participating in Expo include health care, computer services, home improvement and remodeling, senior services, interior decorating, solar energy, landscaping, performing arts, financial services, fitness centers, and health and wellness businesses to name a few.
