Whether attending the Sussex County St. Patrick's Day Parade, playing a bagpipe, doing an Irish gig, or making special arts and crafts projects in school, children this week enjoyed the lead up to St. Patrick’s Day. Some children proudly marched in the parade carrying a sign that identified them as grandchildren of the parade's Grand Marshals. And many throughout the county marked Sunday, March 17, 2019 simply by wearing a 'wee bit' of green, whether or not they are Irish. Here's a look at what some Newton, Andover, Byram, Sparta, Hopatcong, Lafayette, and Stanhope children did to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.
