Three local Columbian Squires were recently elected as state officers at the annual meeting held at St. Magdalen Parish in Flemington.

Danny Lubertazzi and Ben Insley of circle #5177 from St. Kateri in Sparta, and to Jon Rohe of circle #2192 from St. Jude’s in Budd Lake were elected.

Lubertazzi was elected as state bursar, Insley as state sentry, and Rohe as the state chief squire.

Lubertazzi attends Pope John XXIII high school, Insley attends Sparta high school, and Rohe attends Mount Olive.

They join Christopher Cozzi, state deputy chief squire, Dimitri Henry, state notary, and Jason Cozzi, state marshall, from circle #5523 as the new executive officers representing Squires throughout the state.

State Squires Chairman Peter Briody said, “It is a pleasure to have a slate of officers that lead by example in their own circles and parishes.”

The Squires are the youth leadership branch of the Knights of Columbus for Catholic men ages 10 to 17.
