Enviroscape takes to the road to entertain and teach

Devan George is taking an Enviroscape on the road this summer.

The Enviroscape is an interactive watershed model that demonstrates the way water moves through a landscape and how water movement can bring non-point source pollutants into Pike County’s primary water sources. The interactive Enviroscape makes learning fun and educational for all ages.

George, the Pike County Conservation District’s communications coordinator, will be appearing at festivals all over Pike County. The events in this series will either be a seminar or a table at a festival.

For the seminar, to be held at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, July 23, at the Pike County Public Library, 119 East Harford St., Milford, participants can experience the entire program.

At festival booths, visitors are welcome at any time to learn the quick version of the Enviroscape:

● July 16 — Hawley Farmer’s Market at the Hawley Public Library, 103 Main Avenue, Hawley, from 2 to 5 p.m.

● Aug. 27-Sept. 5 — The Greene Dreher Sterling Fair, 457 Crestmont Drive, Newfoundland, all day, every day.

● Aug. 28 — Wally Lake Fest at the Wallenpaupack Area High School from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
