The Historical Society of Stillwater Township invites everyone to celebrate the Holiday Season with “Lighting Up Main Street” at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday Dec. 22. The event takes place at 912 Main Street in Stillwater.

“It’s always a lot of fun”, stated HSST president, Deborah Drumm. “The community comes out, and a magical assembly line creates over 500 luminaries that will be placed up and down Main Street in Stillwater.”

It is a magical view when evening approaches (if it does not rain or snow), states Paul Cousey one of the Historical Society’s trustees.

This year, Dean Voris of The Geo D. Garris General Store will host the event. Voris has been renovating the establishment (built in 1876) and participants will get a sneak preview of what’s in store for the long-awaited opening. Hot Chocolate provided by SpringHill Farm, candy canes, goodies and hopefully Santa will be surprise attendees.
