Whistling Swan Inn marks release of new 'Downton Abbey' film by hosting high tea
STANHOPE. It's time to make an appointment for high tea on the veranda of The Whispering Swan Inn, complete with finger sandwiches, scones and desserts, as the inn celebrates the release of the film "Downtown Abbey."
The Whistling Swan Inn is celebrating the upcoming release of the feature film "Downtown Abbey" by holding a high tea to be held on the veranda of the historic bed and breakfast. The classic British tea is scheduled for 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2019 and will include the inn’s signature scones, finger sandwiches, and desserts.
Tickets cost $32.95 per person, plus tax and optional gratuity. Seating is limited to 30 attendees. To reserve a spot, call the inn at (973)347-6369 and speak to owner Rosalind Bruno.
The feature film "Downtown Abbey" is based on a television drama that follows the saga of a British noble family and their servants in the early part of the 20th century. The film makes its debut in American movie theaters on Sept 20, 2019.
