Dentistry Expert Dr. Jonice Thompson Withanachchi: Sparkling vs. Regular Water

| 18 Dec 2018 | 10:19

A study was done on real teeth (extracted and donated for research purposes) regarding whether sparkling water would attack the enamel more than regular water. The study showed that the effects on enamel were about the same. Even though it's carbonated and slightly more acidic than regular drinking water, it seems it's all just water to your teeth. Keep in mind, however, the added sugar, or the citrus-flavored water, which can increase the acid content of your beverage!
