Yearly the Hopatcong Woman's Club sponsors a High School Junior girl to attend Girls Career Institute (GCI). Girls' Career Institute is an annual program held at Douglass College at Rutgers University and sponsored by the NJ State Federation of Women’s Clubs for high school Junior girls to explore women's issues and encourage awareness of contemporary problems. It offers a wonderful "mini college experience" on the campus of the Douglass College part of Rutgers University where delegates experience a sample of college life by living in a dorm, eating in a cafeteria, attending interesting talks and workshops. They learn about career choices from volunteer professional speakers and how to network with other delegates from all over the state of New Jersey. any establish lasting friendships with one another.

The dates for 2020 are Monday, June 1st through Thursday, June 4th. If you are a junior girl who is interested in attending GCI please go to the Hopatcong High School Guidance office to obtain an application for this wonderful opportunity. Applications are due before March 1, 2020.

All local women looking to form new friendships and to find a special niche or pet project of interest are encouraged to join us on the third Wednesday of each month at 10:30 am from October through April, at our new home Elba Point Beach Club at 30 Ithanell Rd.
