LVHS students visit Storm King

The students in Sherry Carnegie’s Studio Art and Art Portfolio classes recently visited the Storm King Art Center in New Windsor, NY. Through exploring the grounds and museum building of Storm King, students learned about sculptures made by various artists.

Students spent most of their time at Storm King viewing the large scale artworks on display outdoors within the property. Students researched the sculptures and worked on their drawing skills.

Carnegie said that “Because of the size of the art center, it is impossible for students to see the entire collection in one trip to Storm King.”
