On Tuesday, Jan, 12, 2021 Jason Rinker, loving father of 9-year-old Tyler, rode into the arms of our Lord at age 45, in a motorcycle accident.

Jason was born on Feb. 21, 1975, to Sally Rinker and George Rinker III. He resided in New Jersey all of his life except for a few years in which he resided in Lake Tahoe, California, pursuing big snow and big air in one of his beloved sports: snowboarding.

Jason knew how to work hard and he knew how to play hard. From his start in the bicycling world as a 5-year-old BMX racer, to owning and operating his successful mountain biking business, Ridetopia, in Vernon, he was all about things that put wind in his hair and a smile on his face. Jason was competitive and he was a winner. He also enjoyed other outdoor sports, such as snowmobiling, ATV, and dirt bike racing, and fishing with his friends and son, Tyler.

He was known for his quick wit, infectious smile, and his kindness and helpfulness to others.

He was preceded in death by his sister Courtney Geiger; and his maternal grandparents, Josephine and William Pappan; and paternal grandparents, Madeline and George Rinker Jr.

He is survived by his son Tyler Rinker; mother, Sally Rinker, and stepfather, Gary Geiger; father, George Rinker III, and stepmother Diana Olsen; brother, Eric Pappan, and sister-in-law Dawn Pappan; sister, Shannon Geiger; his former spouse, Siobhan Morgan Keller; and his life, partner Kirsti LoRe and her son, Jake; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends.

Visitation was held on Jan. 17 at the Ferguson-Vernon Funeral Home, 241 Route 94. The funeral service was held Jan. 18 at the funeral home. Interment followed in the Glenwood Cemetery in Vernon.
