Tristan Schaffer (“Tris the Barber”) passed away on Feb. 4, 2021 after a relapse and short battle with stage 4 Leukemia. He was 59.
He was born on March 24, 1961, in Teaneck Hospital. He grew up in New Milford, N.J., and later moved to Vernon, N.J.
Tris is survived by his wife, Michele; their children, Michael, Jessica, and Olivia; his mother-in-law, Gloria Haughey; his sister, Kitty Doremus; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Tris’ Barber Shop was a staple in New Milford for 30 years. He loved what he did and treasured all of the friends he made throughout his life. He was the best husband, father, brother, and friend you could ask for. He always had a smile and treated everyone as if he knew them forever. He will be greatly missed.
