Entering Jersey Mike's Subs, in the brand new North Village, is like walking into a party with a positive, friendly vibe, and then walking out with a freshly made sandwich.
“That's what we want the environment to be all about,” said general manager, Kevin Prokop. “Here, it's not about just standing in a line and ordering, it's about engaging with the customers, asking about their day and lots of smiles and laughter.”
The store opened on Nov. 6.
“We had the most successful grand opening in the nation,” Prokop said, “And that's out of 2,000 stores.”
“It gets a little crazy, but we have an amazing team,” said employee Stacy Bell, of Franklin. “I absolutely love working here, it's a great environment and the crew is fast so we get people in and out as quickly as we can. We know they're on their lunch break or dinner break, so we make it fun yet fast.”
Prokop managed the Secaucus and East Ruthorford stores before coming to Sparta.
“I grew up in Stockholm, so it's great to be back in the area and manage the furthest northwest Jersey Mike's,” he said.
Jersey Mike's is in the new Shop Rite Plaza off of Route 15 at 10 North Village, Suite A, in Sparta.
