Hampton's junior firefighters

Children at Susan’s Family Learning Center welcomed members of the Hampton Township Volunteer Fire Department recently during National Fire Safety Week. The children practiced “stop drop and roll,” and made a fire truck from recycled materials to honor the blue fire truck 48-13. They then visited the real fire apparatus. Firefighters reminded families to check batteries in their smoke detectors, set up an evacuation plan and a meeting place, practice fire drills on a regular basis and to dial 911 in case of emergency.
