Sparta. Sparta Chess enters its 19th season playing and learning skills through different online resources. Interested players of all abilities (K-12) should send an email to spartachess@yahoo.com. Its teams have played in 17 states and have won numerous championships. Sparta Middle School is a three-time defending New Jersey State Champions. The team is currently working on scheduling online competitions with other schools and hopes to be able to play in person at the SuperNationals in Nashville, Tenn., in May.
