Meet Atlas Maverick from Eleventh Hour Rescue. Atlas is a playful German Shepherd mix who is about 1 ½ years old. He was adopted as a young puppy and returned to Eleventh Hour because they did not have time to train him.
Atlas is scared to be in the kennel environment after only knowing a home environment since he was young. He is housetrained, crate-trained and walks nicely on a leash. Atlas knows some basic commands but could use a little work on his manners. He can be a little shy with new people and protective of his handlers so he should not go to a home with young children.
Atlas gets along with bigger dogs but does not like cats. He would love a home with active owners who can help him burn off some energy and give him the love, time and training he deserves.
