The Sussex County Board of Chosen Freeholders hosts its 19th Annual Salute to Military Veterans Event at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3 at Sussex County Fairgrounds in Augusta. The program consists of parade veterans, military vehicles, civic groups, community bands and high school bands. Highlights include student essays; Prisoner of War (POW) and Missing in Action (MIA) solemn remembrance and a 21-Gun Salute. A commemorative pin will be presented to all veterans in attendance by the Sussex County Board of Chosen Freeholders.
