Newton - Every Tuesday at 7 p.m. there are meetings that focus on socialization with people who have recovered from addiction and who have achieved a drug-free, healthy lifestyle. Seeing the socialization as key to recovery, All Recovery meetings are based on the idea that there are great benefits to bringing people together from many different methods of recovery from addiction. The Center at 65 Newton-Sparta Road hosts the weekly All Recovery meetings. All Recovery meetings respect the fact that each person’s path to recovery is different and that their unique path reflects their personal strengths and resilience. The meetings maintain respectful anonimity while offering an open format where people can discuss all things about recovery but with special emphasis on hope, healing, and how recovery is changes lives.
These meetings offer the opportunity for social support and the meetings focus on the possibilities of recovery through allowing a connection with others who are initiating and maintaining a recovery lifestyle. Socialize and share. Friends and family members are also always welcome to attend.
At a recent meeting, noted the up-beat nature of the meetings.
“All Recovery meetings leave me feeling uplifted and with a new perspective every time I attend.”
