Miss Vernon chosen Queen of the Fair

AUGUSTA — This year’s Queen of the Fair Pageant was held at the NJ State Fair and Sussex County Farm & Horse Show on August 4, 2018 on a hot muggy evening. A crowd filled the tent as the 21 contestants were all introduced and each gave a short speech.
This year’s contestants were Miss Andover Twp Caitlyn McAdams, Miss Branchville Trinity Garrett-Tully, Miss Byram Kelly Rafferty, Miss Frankford Angel Rosequist, Miss Franklin Carmella Limon, Miss Fredon Devon Schneider, Miss Green Grace Vigorito, Miss Hamburg Mikhaila Sanchez, Miss Hampton Hannah MacMillan, Miss Hardyston Nicole Verga, Miss Hopatcong Samantha Schuman, Miss Lafayette Mikayla Schappert, Miss Montague Ashley Burghardt, Miss Ogdensburg Mia Lennon, Miss Sandyston Jessica Thompson, Miss Sparta Hannah Fagersten, Miss Stanhope Molly Clawson, Miss Stillwater Danielle Bilde, Miss Sussex Gaige Moore, Miss Vernon Blake Harrsch, and Miss Wantage Emily Dunn.
After all the contestants had spoken, there was break for the results to be calculated in determining who would be the six semifinalists. The six chosen were Miss Hardyston Nicole Vergo, Miss Hampton Hannah MacMillan, Miss Frankford Angel Rosequist, Miss Vernon Blake Harrsch, Miss Franklin Carmella Limon, and Miss Wantage Emily Dunn. Each of these semifinalists were then asked to answer two questions with one of them based on something in their biography and the other a random question.
Again, the results were tabulated, and the winners were announced. Miss Vernon Blake Harrach was chosen to be the 2018 Queen of the Fair. The first runner-up was Miss Franklin Carmella Limon and the 2nd runner-up (and Peoples Choice winner) was Miss Hampton Hannah MacMillan.
