Pass It Along consolidates

Pass It Along recently moved to The Shoppes at Lafayette, bringing its vital factions under one roof.
“We had been divided into two sites, with our office located in the Laddey, Clark & Ryan building in Sparta and our youth center at Brooks Plaza in Newton,” said Kathy Rathbone, executive director of programs.
“The new location gives us a lot of exposure so people who have heard who we are can now see us at a visible location," said Kurt Walton, executive director of fundraising and finance.
Pass It Along is a non-profit uniquely committed to helping teenagers become confident, resilient and compassionate through volunteerism, leadership and self-discovery. Pass It Along enables a one-on-one connection with the people teenagers are helping and delivering thought provoking self-discovery workshops.
“We are indebted to Thorlabs for letting us use the space at Brooks Plaza to begin a number of youth leadership programs,” Walton said.
Programs include; Get Connected, goLead and the Service Corps got their start.
“Thorlabs was growing so quickly and graciously told us a year out that we would have to move,” Rathbone added. “We looked at a number of potential spaces, but the building at The Shoppes just stood out as being ideal.”
Both the office space in Sparta and the location at Brooks Plaza were rather obscure.
“With the new location we are out there and we are visible,” Walton said. “Though we were content in our old locations, sometimes things happen for a reason and we couldn't be happier with this new space. The Shoppes are welcoming and optimistic and present many options for events we can hold.”
Walton gives a big thank you to the owners of The Shoppes at Lafayette for embracing the non-profit.
