Franklin. One of the girls in Sparta Brownie Troop 97456 wanted to do something special for her grandfather, who lives at Westwind Manor assisted living in Franklin. So the entire troop of third-graders got together with their parents and decided to fill the outside courtyard with holiday cheer. The girls braved the cold weather and decorated the entire courtyard, live trees and all, with lights, candy canes, ornaments, and tinsel. While the girls worked, many Westwind Manor residents came to the windows to see the wonderful job they were doing, transforming the courtyard into a winter wonderland. Now they can visit with their loved ones outside with the heaters and enjoy the cheer of the season. (Photos provided)
