Stillwater will hold a Green Fest

    The Stillwater Township Green Team, in partnership with Fairview Lake YMCA camps, is hosting the Township’s first Green Fest on Sunday Aug. 18 from 1 to 4 p.m., rain or shine.

    This community event will showcase hands-on educational activities, vendor displays — Nissan Leaf, Toyota Prius. Brighton, USA-green cleaning products, AMP Flooring-carpets made from recycled materials, NJ buy local program-Genesis Farm representing CSA, Foodshed Alliance-highlighting local farmers markets to name a few.

    Rizzo’s Reptiles will present Discover Green Wildlife show and Gemini 2 will be singing songs to inspire.

    A Project Trashway Trashion show (based on idea of Project Runway) is a contest to encourage residents to make an outfit from 95 to 99 percent trash/recycled materials with a prize for best outfit.
