Milford motorist with suspended driving privileges is arrested in Sparta

    Milford. Dawn Ashley, 33, of Milford was arrested on Jan. 21 by the police in Sparta, N.J., for driving while her driving privileges were suspended. On Jan. 21 at approximately 10:30 a.m., officer Brian Porter stopped a four-door Mazda bearing a Tennessee registration for maintenance of its lamps. Upon approaching Ashley and obtaining her documents, Porter found that her driving privileges were suspended in New Jersey and that she had an active warrant out of Prospect Park, N.J., for $503. Ashley was placed under arrest and transported to Sparta Police headquarters for processing. Prospect Park issued a new court date for Ashley. She was issued summonses for maintenance of lamps and driving while suspended and advised of a mandatory court appearance before being released.
