    On 1/26/2020 at about 9:51 PM, Ptl. Edward Sperling was monitoring traffic in the area of Main Street when he observed a 2016 Subaru XV with an expired registration. Ptl. Sperling stopped the vehicle on Main St. and learned that the operator was Alex Feltwater, age 28, a resident of Netcong, NJ.

    Upon approaching the vehicle, Ptl. Sperling detected the odor of marijuana coming from the interior of the vehicle.

    A subsequent search of the vehicle yielded under 50 grams marijuana, (1) marijuana grinder, (1) marijuana smoking pipe, (1) package of rolling papers, (1) digital scale and (2) containers used to store the marijuana. Feltwater claimed ownership of the items and was placed under arrest. Feltwater was brought to Headquarters where he was processed and released after being issued a complaint summons charging him with: 2C:35-10a (4) Possession of less than 50 grams of Marijuana-Disorderly persons offense. 2C:36-2a. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - Disorderly persons offense. Feltwater was also issued summonses for the following Motor Vehicle Offenses: 39:3-4a. Expired Registration 39:4-49.1a Possession of CDS in a Motor Vehicle.
