Newton bowling round up

NEWTON — This year’s Newton Bowling varsity team consisted of Seniors Ashley Rosa, Quinn Kramer, Ryan Vasquez and Michael Bell and Juniors Craig Gerndt Jr., Sean Howell and Alycia Danielson. This is a rundown of their year.

The 2012-2013 NHS Bowling Team Accomplishments

NJAC North Division Match Placed 3rd - Record 12-4.Lost only to Sparta and Jefferson twice each. The latter schools tied for first.

New Year’s Eve Tournament - Tied Sparta for 3rd of 15 North Jersey High Schools - highest of Sussex County high schools.

Hunterdon/Warren/Sussex Tournament - 1st place in field of 20 high schools.

NJSIAA Sectionals - Placed second in Group 2. High scratch series 2986/199 average per bowler.

NJSIAA States - Placed 10th for all groups/140 high schools. Highest among Sussex County high schools.
