County GOP should wash its dirty laundry

I have been keeping up with the recent events in the Sussex County Republican Party regarding the accusations of lies made by one of their own, Commissioner Bill Hayden.

I am a bit confused - I thought that the ability to fabricate outrageous lies was a prerequisite for advancing in today’s Republican establishment.

If the party is going to start cleaning house of dishonest self-serving liars, they should begin with those who have followed Donald Trump, the pied piper of dishonesty.

As far as I know, everyone in the county party claims that the 2020 election was won by this unprincipled liar. Maybe they should wash their own dirty laundry before castigating someone else.

Perhaps it’s not too late for the party to rid itself of this morally bankrupt excuse for a candidate, whose re-election would be much more consequential than Mr. Hayden’s alleged dishonesty.

It’s a sad truth that a major political party that can never be believed again becomes more of a forgone fact with every passing day of silence.
