Photo competition on display

NEWTON — A display of photos taken throughout Sussex County and submitted in a contest for the cover of CenturyLink phone books is now on display in the Sussex County Judicial Center. The photos show the county's flora, fauna, landmarks, landscapes and people. The gallery is open Mondays through Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. A reception and announcements of awards will be held April 10. In the meantime, a panel of judges will be selecting winners for the covers of the county phone book and the Sparta phone book produced by CenturyLink. First- and second-place cash prizes will be awarded and all entries will continue to be displayed in the gallery at the Sussex County Judicial Center at 43-47 High Street.
