Local history glows

As part of an earth science unit, Franklin Borough School’s third-graders took a walking trip to the Franklin Mineral Museum where they toured the mine, learning about the rich history of the Franklin mines. Afterward, the students were given the opportunity to go rock picking and identify their treasures using a black light to check for fluorescence.
