Carole Elizabeth (Matano) Fenners

Carole Elizabeth (Matano) Fenners, of Oak Ridge, N.J., died peacefully on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020. She was 80 years young.

Carole was born and raised in Paterson, N.J. She married the love of her life, John Fenners, who pre-deceased her in 1980. After John’s death, Carole began her career as a teller and worked her way up to be the bank manager at Irving Savings in Oak Ridge, N.J. In 1993, she left the bank to become the office manager at Stanley and Orke Roofing for the next 26 years.

Carole’s family brought her the greatest joy in life, and her love and guidance were immeasurable.

She is survived by her children Doreen Baxter of Vernon, N.J., and her husband, Len, Marc Fenners of Lafayette, N.J., and his wife, Laura, and Debra Guerra of Sparta, N.J., and her husband, Craig. Carole was pre-deceased by her son Todd Fenners (Christie) in 2005.

Carole was the proudest and most supportive Grama to Alyssa Myhren (Steve), Amy Everett (Kendall), David Baxter (Morgan), Ethan Guerra and Matthew Guerra as well as Grace, Joshua and Jessica Fenners. Gigi’s smiles and hugs will be missed by her great-grandchildren Jacoby, Grayson, Aubrey, Calynn and Rylie. Carole is also survived by her brother Edward Matano.

Funeral arrangements were made by Goble Funeral Home, Sparta, N.J. Due to the pandemic, a private service was held for the family. The family wishes to thank their friends and loved ones for their thoughts and prayers during this time.
