NEWTON — On Friday, Jan. 13, the Kittatinny Service Unit of the Fredon and Stillwater Girl Scouts held an Ice Cream Social Recruitment Event. The purpose of the event was to familiarize girls of all ages who wanted to learn more about scouting. The evening started off with a meet and greet, followed by temporary tattooing, games and activities. The girls made their own sundaes with a selection of ice cream and an assortment of delicious toppings. A collection of non-perishable food items were collected at the door and donated to a local food pantry.
