NEWTON — Sussex County Community College (SCCC) is inviting local middle and high school-age students to participate in the second annual Google Science Fair. This year's slogan is "Everyone has a question. What's yours?" The Google Science Fair is open to anyone ages 13-18. As Google writes, "Geniuses are not always A-grade students. We welcome all mavericks, square-pegs and everybody who likes to ask questions." SCCC physics, biology and chemistry professors are available and excited to assist local students and science teachers as they develop their projects. SCCC is willing to sponsor project web sites for the science fair along with working closely with the high school and middle school science teachers to allow mentorship between their students and the college professors. Ideas should be submitted by Friday, Feb. 17. To sign up or receive more information, send an e-mail to marketing@sussex.edu or visit sites.google.com/a/clubs.sussex.edu/science-fair-home/.
