ATV rider arrested for illegally driving on roadway, obstruction

On September 4, a Byram Township police officer reported seeing an ATV driving on Roseville Road. When the officer attempted to stop the ATV, the driver reportedly refused to pull over an instead, exited the roadway onto a path that led to the railroad tracks. The officer then drove further down Roseville Road in the direction that the ATV was last seen traveling and hiked up a path that is located between Tamarack Road and Amity Road.

When the officer approached the top of the path at the railroad tracks, he found the ATV and driver, Michael Burascano, 57, of Byram Township. Burascano was arrested and transported to the station for processing. At the station, Burascano was charged with the following and released pending a mandatory Andover-Joint Municipal Court date: Obstructing administration of the law, failure to stop for an emergency vehicle, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, driving an ATV on the roadway, uninsured ATV and unregistered ATV.
