On Nov. 27, a Byram Township Police Officer observed a vehicle traveling on Rt. 206 that failed to keep right and failed to maintain its lane. A motor vehicle stop was initiated and while speaking to the driver, Steven P. Mazure of Washington N.J., the officer felt Mazure may be intoxicated. Mazure was asked to perform several field sobriety tests, which he failed. Mazure was arrested and transported to the station where he consented to and failed two breath tests. Mazure was charged with the following and released pending a mandatory Andover-Joint Municipal Court date: Driving While Intoxicated, Consumption of an Alcoholic Beverage in a Motor Vehicle, Open Alcoholic Beverage Container in a Motor Vehicle, Failure to Keep Right, Failure to Maintain Lane, Careless Driving and Reckless Driving.
