Sparta. On March 25, an anonymous tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children led to an investigation of child pornography by the Sparta Police Department’s Detective Bureau.
The suspect, Clark Cornwell, 33, of Hamburg, N.J., was interviewed by Sparta detectives and ultimately admitted to possessing child pornography on his cell phone.
Cornwell’s phone was seized, and a search warrant was obtained to examine the contents of the phone. A forensic search of the phone revealed multiple images of child pornography.
Cornwell was charged with second-degree Manufacturing Child Pornography and third-degree Possession of Child Pornography. He was processed and advised of a mandatory court date before being released.
