    Sept. 25 A juvenile pled guilty on Sept. 24 to two counts of third degree distribution CDS (cocaine) and third degree possession with intent to distribute within 1000 feet of a school. He was adjudicated a juvenile delinquent by the court. The juvenile, age 16, of Newton was sentenced to 60 days in the Juvenile Detention Center then 12 months probation with electronic monitoring house arrest and six-month driver’s license suspension. He must also submit a DNA sample, undergo random drug testing, attend school every day and follow all home and school rules, undergo a substance abuse evaluation and follow all recommendations and pay $1,130 in court fines. In August, in Newton, the juvenile was arrested for possession of cocaine and distribution within 1000 feet of a school in Newton. Bruce E. Parks and Patricia Jelessis of Lake Neepaulin were arrested on drug charges. Parks, 40, was charged with the second degree crime of possession with the intent to distribute one and one-half ounces or more of cocaine and the second degree crime of certain persons not to possess firearms by virtue of prior convictions. Jelissis, 39, was charged with the second degree crime of possession with the intent to distribute one and one-half ounce or more of cocaine. They were arrested by the Sussex County Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force and the New Jersey State Police, Sussex Station following the execution of a court authorized search warrant on their persons, home, self-storage unit and vehicles. The execution of that search warrant lead to the seizure of approximately four ounces of suspected crack cocaine and two semiautomatic handguns. Parks and Jelissis are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Oct. 5 Dawn M. Vahaly, 31, of Franklin pled guilty to one count of third degree theft. She admitted to taking cans of Similac baby formula worth over $2,000 from the Franklin Weis on several different occasions between April and June. Christopher Casale, 33, of Hampton Township pled guilty to an accusation of third degree aggravated assault. Casale admitted to the court that on or about July 21 he had assaulted an adult female during a domestic dispute when he pushed the adult female out of a motor vehicle. Wesley Johnson, 55, of Hopatcong, pled guilty to criminal mischief, a fourth degree crime. Johnson admitted that on June 29, he damaged personal property belonging to another. The property was valued at between $500 and $2,000. Stephen P. Pollack, 20, of Vernon pled guilty to the third crime of possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He admitted to possessing three bags of heroin during a motor vehicle stop on April 9. Kristofer J. Baglio, 19, of Stanhope pled guilty to the third crime of possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He admitted to possessing heroin on August 14 in Hopatcong following a brief investigation. Oct. 7 James E. Conklin, Jr., 26, of Bushkill, PA pled guilty to third degree terroristic threats. Conklin admitted to the court that on or about June 1, he had threatened to assault an adult female during a domestic violence dispute involving telephone calls and text messages.
