Knights of Columbus welcome new members

During a recent 1st Degree Ceremony, eight men joined the Knights of Columbus. Five have become members of Newton's Don Bosco Council, and three are new members of Sparta's Marquette Council.

The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic Fraternal Organization with over 1.7 million members worldwide and over 64,000 in the State of New Jersey.

The Don Bosco Council was charted on May 1, 1981 and serves three churches: St Joseph's, in Newton, Our Lady Queen Of Peace, in Branchville, and Good Shepherd, in Andover.

The Marquette Council has been in existence for over 112 Years, having received it's charter on June 1, 1901. The Marquette Council also serves three churches: Our Lady of the Lake, in Sparta, St. Thomas, in Ogdensburg, and Immaculate Conception Church, in Franklin.
